BEARS

As someone who has enjoyed canoe trips through Algonquin Park, Peter has always loved bears. These iconic animals bring so much character to a landscape. In 2000, after the ice storm, Peter realized that he could capture these magnificent animals in larger pieces, and started to use a chainsaw as the main tool to complete projects. As he adopted a rustic, folk-art type style that incorporated the natural form of the wood pieces he was using, each one-of-a-kind bear took on its own personality and character.
